Has a new Talktalk firmware for this router been released yet. If so where can I find it.

No official firmware to my knowledge yet, and as some users bricked their 2680's trying to update the firmware, it will likely be a while before that changes.
You do realise you will lose any Talk Talk warranty on the router if you flash it with any other firmware? If it is a 'spare' router then fair enough, but if it is the only router you have , not to be recommended, if you brick it during a firmware upgrade you will have to buy another, Talk Talk will not replace it for you, and neither will D-Link. regards fred |

Hi Calam.
There is no TT firmware update for this router at present. Neither is there ever likely to be I think. ![]() You can alter the firmware to the D-Link official version from the D-Link website but doing this may invalidate your warranty so tread very carefully. I reflashed the firmware on mine and had no problems but if it`s your only router then I wouldn`t recommend it as anything can go wrong and you may end up with a brick. There were no obvious benefits after reflashing apart from removing the TalkTalk opening screen. |
